How to Measure for Women's Bottoms
Waist – Wrap a measuring tape around the narrowest part of your waist (usually just above your belly button). Make sure it’s snug but not tight.
Hips – Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bum. This is where the widest part of the leggings will need to stretch - as above, make sure the tape is snug, but not too tight.
Inseam – Measure from the inside of your leg (crotch area) down to your ankle. This is especially useful for choosing between full-length, 7/8, cropped, or capri styles.
Legging Leg Lengths
SHORT | REGULAR | LONG |
Perfect if you're around 4'2 - 5'5. Our standard inseam length, ideal if you don't typically need a shorter or longer fit. | Perfect if you're around 5'9 - 6'5. How to Measure for Women's Sports Bras
Finding the right sports bra starts with the right fit. Taking a few simple measurements can help you find a sports bra that feels comfortable, supportive, and performs the way it should during your workouts.
You'll need a soft measuring tape and a few minutes to measure both your band size and bust size.
Step 1: Measure Your Band Size
Wrap a soft measuring tape around the top of your ribcage, directly underneath your bust.
Make sure the tape:
Sits level all the way around your body
Stays parallel to the floor
Feels snug without digging into your skin
Your band measurement is incredibly important because most of the support in a sports bra comes from the band rather than the straps.
If you've ever found yourself constantly pulling your sports bra down during a workout, an incorrect band size is often the cause.
Why your band size matters
Breast tissue doesn't contain muscle. During movement, it relies on the skin and ligaments surrounding it for support, which can only do so much during repetitive or high-impact exercise.
A well-fitted band helps provide the support you need and can reduce unnecessary movement while you train.
💡 Top tip: If your sports bras regularly ride up, shift during workouts, or seem to lose support quickly, it's worth double-checking your band measurement.
Step 2: Measure Your Bust Size
Next, wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust.
For the most accurate measurement:
Stand naturally
Keep the tape level all the way around
Allow it to sit comfortably against your skin
Avoid pulling the tape too tightly
This measurement helps determine how much room and coverage you'll need within the sports bra itself.
Step 3: Check Your Measurements Against Our Sports Bra Size Chart
Once you have your band and bust measurements, compare them to our Sports Bra Size Chart to find your recommended size.
Your measurements provide a great starting point, but it's important to remember that sports bra fit can vary depending on:
The level of support you're looking for
The construction and style of the bra
The activity it's designed for
Your personal fit preference
You may find that you prefer a slightly different fit depending on whether you're training, running, lifting, or wearing your sports bra for everyday comfort.
